The Shaggy Farm Dog may be flea bitten and mangy, but he's one happy, loveable mutt. This mutt of an ale incorporates five different types of hops. Idaho-7, Cascade, Centennial, Falconer's Flight and Comet provide the very pronounced hop bitterness, while a healthy dose of Comet and Falconer's Flight hops were used for aroma. At 93 IBU's "The Shaggy Farm Dog" is aggressive at first, but once you're acquainted, he'll nuzzle up to you with a soft 5.1% a.b.v.
American Cistercian is our homage to the Trappist style, Belgian Strong Ale. Brewed with Belgian Pilsner malt, specialty malts, loads of Belgian candi sugar and a touch of hops for bittering. This ale is 8.1% a.b.v. and drinks like a Rochefort 8.
We are proud to present to you an experimental DIPA we're calling "Moving to the Country". Our friends at Big Hill Cider gave us 8/22 lbs. crates of fresh peaches from their farm. So, we brewed a DIPA, chopped and pureed the peaches and added some Trader Joe's Pure Bourbon Vanilla Extract to it. The result is an 8% a.b.v, 45 IBU ale, of hoppy deliciousness. Citra and Mosaic hops compliment the faint notes of peaches and vanilla, while the lactose sugar provides a present sweetness.
Try to find another East coast brew that can produce this much West coast flavor – we dare ya! Copious amounts of Simcoe & Citra collide with Chinook bittering hops to compliment the Pale and Vienna malts. This creates that quintessential flavor that we’ve all come to know and love from West coast IPAs, only we’re doing it on the East coast!
Smooth kolsch flavored with Hallertau and Tettnang hops. Crisp and smooth.
An 8.1% ABV DIPA made with Pilsen Malt, Vienna Malt, Flaked Oats and lactose sugar. Hopped with Citra and Mosaic at a rate just shy of 6 lbs. per barrel, but just 21 IBU's.
We all love the high octane IPA's, but how many pints at 8-9% can you actually have? Sugar Coated Pony Kisses was created in order to satisfy your lupulin jones without sacrificing flavor for a lower a.b.v. This 5.8% a.b.v. ale was made with Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Flaked Oats, Lactose Sugar and Falconer's Flight, Mosaic, and Madarina Bavaria hops. The culmination is a gentle, yet firm, Sugar Coated Pony Kiss at 55 IBU's!
The Buffalo Rodeo is our Russian Imperial stout conditioned in Buffalo Trace Whiskey barrels. This ale spent a little less than 2 months in the barrels, which infused the beer with a healthy and balanced dose of vanilla, bourbon flavors to compliment the already present roasted, chocolatey flavors. Sitting at a smooth 12% a.b.v. Giddyup.
Belgian style Witbier made for warm weather consumption. This traditional Belgian style ale is made with The Swaen malt, coriander and bitter orange peel. At 5.5% a.b.v. "Mini Pony" has a light, fluffy body and pronounced Belgian yeast characteristic, which makes it a warm weather favorite.
